Waratah Bay House

Designed in conjunction with Anna Bubb
Located on a hill above the town, this holiday house opens to views across Waratah Bay, toward Wilson Promotory and over adjacent meadows. Textured concrete block walls guide one into the building and form exterior and interior blades defining two separate forms. The split between the two is formed by the entrance which opens to the elevated view as one rises up the stairwell to the living area. Inherent colour and texture in the materials provides for a low maintenance building, which also silvers over time to meld into the local environment.
